China

Numbers and heavy equipment. Finish the fight with absolute firepower.

Faction traits

China fights with mass and heavy equipment: infantry waves plus a frightening tank line. Units are durable and hard-hitting, and less mobile. The economy is built to produce and expand quickly.

Signature tools include nuclear weapons, rocket artillery, and black-powder explosives. Nukes level a base, rockets blanket an area, and the explosives give Chinese forces a blast profile of their own.

Expand fast, build a wide production base, then bury the opponent in numbers and heavy armor. Chinese infantry are ordinary one by one and overwhelming in a crowd. The heavy tanks — especially the Overlord — are among the most feared vehicles on the field.

Signature units

Chinese Infantry

China’s basic rifle infantry, and the best individual soldier among the basic troops.

Strengths

  • The toughest basic infantry
  • Stronger in numbers

Weaknesses

  • Easily crushed

Light Apocalypse

The Apocalypse idea, rebuilt with a much better pair of treads.

Strengths

  • Balanced anti-ground and anti-air
  • Faster than the Soviet Apocalypse

Weaknesses

  • A little less armor than the Soviet version

Triple Missile Launcher

Three missiles at once, enough to blanket the spot you pointed at.

Strengths

  • High burst damage
  • Respectable range

Weaknesses

  • Long reload
  • Fragile

Heavy Transport Chopper

A huge helicopter that slings vehicles and carries a crowd of infantry.

Strengths

  • Enormous capacity
  • Ignores ground terrain

Weaknesses

  • A giant target
  • Average speed

J-10 Fighter

China’s advanced multirole fighter, at home in a dogfight and against targets on the ground.

Strengths

  • Very fast
  • Strong ground-attack missiles

Weaknesses

  • Must return to an airfield
  • Limited armor

Signature buildings

Chinese Prism Tower

A fixed defense. It holds a key entrance with power and range. It will not chase anyone, but it will make them reconsider the route.

Strengths

  • Steady fixed fire
  • Good for ore fields and entrances
  • Stands watch without moving

Weaknesses

  • Depends on power or sight
  • Cannot relocate
  • Long-range fire picks them off one by one

Restoration Banner

A strategic building. It quietly supports technology, intelligence, or a special ability.

Strengths

  • Opens more tactics
  • Provides a key base ability
  • Fits the wider tech path

Weaknesses

  • Usually expensive and unarmed
  • Depends on the base and on power
  • Needs a priority guard

Fusion Reactor

The node that keeps a base powered. Quiet as an accountant until the lights go out and every advanced building lies down.

Strengths

  • Powers the base
  • A manageable cost
  • The start of the tech chain

Weaknesses

  • Destruction causes a blackout
  • Usually cannot defend itself
  • Should be spread out

Chinese War Factory

The plant that turns plate, parts, and budget into treads or tires.

Strengths

  • Unlocks vehicles
  • Builds the armored force
  • Keeps the main line supplied

Weaknesses

  • Expensive
  • A large footprint
  • Losing it stops vehicle production

Chinese Airforce HQ

The command node for aircraft and base information. Every shadow on the map becomes a report that needs a signature.

Strengths

  • Unlocks air technology
  • Extends scouting
  • Supports air operations

Weaknesses

  • Little direct defense
  • Depends on power and the base
  • Infiltration hurts

Field guide

Fast expand

Spend the opening on economy and production. Refineries and power come first so the later wave has something to spend.

  • 1.Build several refineries so resources do not stall
  • 2.Keep enough power online
  • 3.Add barracks and war factories before the big push

Human wave

Use the Red Guard advantage and attack from several directions at once. Individually they are modest. Together, and rebuilt quickly, they are the plan.

  • 1.Keep training Red Guards
  • 2.Split them into squads and hit from different angles
  • 3.Aim at defenses and production buildings

Heavy assault

From the midgame, build heavy tanks — especially Overlords — and break the line with an armored fist. The gun and the armor are very hard to answer head-on.

  • 1.Pour resources into Overlords
  • 2.Form a spearhead of 10–15 heavy tanks
  • 3.Hit the weakest stretch of the defense

Fire support

Chinese long-range guns, such as the Dragon cannon and the rocket silo, keep a base pinned down so the ground army can walk in.

  • 1.Deploy Dragon cannons on the front for long-range support
  • 2.Build a rocket silo and strike the enemy base
  • 3.Time the barrage with the ground advance

Superweapon

A late nuclear missile deletes key buildings and leaves radiation behind. It removes units, structures, and the plan that depended on them.

  • 1.Build the nuclear silo early enough to matter
  • 2.Scout the buildings you actually want gone
  • 3.Aim at power, production, or a packed army
